Business Development Representative

Business Development
Base + Commission

Join our fast-paced, full-service communications and marketing agency, as a member of our Business Development team. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic individual who can manage the complete sales cycle, generate and build relationships with Fortune 500 marketing and/or communications departments and be tasked with securing new accounts. A successful candidate is passionate about strategic marketing and communications, understands our agency's core values and is capable of generating new accounts.

Responsibilities: 
• Close new business with Fortune 500 marketing and communications executives
• Generate new leads through cold solicitations
• Qualify prospects and focus agency’s resources on high-value targets
• Lead our sales process that highlights our agency’s value proposition as it relates to strategic marketing, social media content development and management, branding, advertising, messaging, diversity campaigns and execution of sustainability initiatives
• Aggressively and creatively engage prospects
• Understand what motivates marketing and communications teams to retain our services 
• Confident and resourceful in presenting to prospects, in-person, online or during calls
• Ability to speak to agency’s core market sectors
Qualifications: 
• Demonstrable track record as a successful sales – generating leads, closing business and exceeding quota
• Sales experience to Fortune 500 teams mandatory (preferably marketing and communications)
• 3+ years of direct sales experience
• Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s Degree
• An awareness and understanding of mobile solutions is a plus

Compensation includes competitive base salary, commissions and bonuses. This position requires travel.
