Interactive Project Manager, San Francisco Bay Area!

What’s on your plate for the next 3-6 months? Are you digitally savvy (but not too senior to be scrappy)? Are you good with internal and external clients? Do you speak creative/ux design and front-end development?  Can you work independently and do puzzles in the dark? How do you feel about caffeine?

Our East bay client is looking for an experienced Interactive Project Manager to contract at their home office for the next 3 - 6 months. This position is responsible for managing all digital projects such as direct marketing emails, social campaigns, web page assets and updates, and daily maintenance digital requests. This role will be a part of the internal creative services team; working closely with marketing clients to develop strong integrated marketing programs. The Interactive Project Manager is the interface between the internal clients and internal or external design resources. This person will oversee the creative/ux design and front-end development, in conjunction with various cross-functional teams.

The Interactive Project Manager must be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to provide structure and leadership with limited direction. This person must have the organizational skills of an account manager, a deep understanding of brand standards and a good design sense, and the ability to converse fluently with technical teams. The person must be able to take the project and run with it, but know when to seek help from team members or managers.  The Interactive Project Manager must have strong customer service skills, always striving to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and that all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and represent client in the creation and execution of customer-facing applications, direct marketing emails, web pages and daily maintenance requests.
  • Work directly with internal design team or external design resources to develop and execute all digital requests.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to get the job done.
  • Serve as the point person for all stakeholders, including technical and marketing teams.
  • Solve problems creatively and be able to compromise without negatively impacting the work.
  • Participate in weekly reviews with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely development of all project deliverables.
  • Review project briefs and project schedules.

Required Skills and Experience
  • At least 3-5 years managing creative and technical interactive teams.
  • 3-5 years of experience producing digital projects at an advertising agency, web development studio or client (or comparable professional experience)
  • Experience developing complex web applications for design-driven organizations.
  • Knowledge of user interaction design and obsessive attention to detail in visual design.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proven track-record of building strong client relationships
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity of web technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, with great interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing client/stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting work to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing requirements in fast-paced and changing environments.
  • Experience managing direct marketing (email) campaigns.
