Kinetic Creative is seeking a Creative Director for a really cool client of ours in Marin!
Not only do they have the most awesome sauce culture, but they love to have fun! Think dogs roaming around, monthly happy hours, parties. They like to enjoy a work life balance, and so do you!
The Creative Director
position holds responsibility for directing and leading creative engagements
on both the consumer and commercial sides of our business, as well as new
business pitch efforts across multiple client accounts. Our expectation is
that this person will strategize, create and execute innovative campaigns of
a globally competitive caliber that achieve our alcohol beverage clients’
strategic goals. The CD generates, articulates, facilitates, and fosters
creative solutions for clients with a combination of creative skills (both
his/her own as well as the team’s) and brand strategy acumen. The CD ensures
the work translates business, brand, market segment, and engagement
strategies into a conceptual framework that both meets with client approval
and achieves the KPIs for the engagement.
The CD collaborates across
all departments to innovate groundbreaking ideas that leverage emerging
technology and leverages past experience to instill best practices throughout
the organization including creative writing teams, pitches, client and
creative department management. This includes the recruitment and management
of all artists, designers, writers, and filmmaker teams. Most of all, the CD
“owns the creative process”, overseeing every creative detail from concept to
execution.
The position requires
excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to communicate
across disciplines; organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple
deliverables; exquisite attention to detail; strong interpersonal and
management skills with the ability to be a collaborative team player and to
interact with internal and external clients; and excellent cross-channel
creative skills and the ability to communicate creative rationale.
The day-to-day job
responsibilities include ensuring a thorough, intelligent, and complete
Creative Brief is generated that aligns to the brand deck, customer
segmentation and digital engagement strategy.
The CD must also provide feedback to the Account team (Account
Director, Account Manager and/or Project Manager) early in the process with
regard to the appropriateness of the project deliverable(s); suggest
alternate avenues or media for a project if the avenue or media presented is not
the best one to accomplish the objective. A challenging, probing, inquisitive
personality – with the flair of perfectionist - is required because status
quo solutions are not permitted. While collaboration is vital to our process
we do not accept consensus outcomes. Each member of the creative team must
have the personal drive and passion to want exceptional results and to feed
off other talented individuals to deliver inspired work. The role also
requires a working knowledge of the alcohol beverage US market with specific
three-tier, DTC, and digital compliance focus.
