Our client (an internal research team of a large corporation)'s goal is to help employees across the organization be successful in their day-to-day work, their careers, and overall experience. To meet this goal, our client conducts a variety of types of research studies and analyses to understand what’s meaningful, understandable, and usable so they can help their partners offer the most intuitive and compelling communications, online experience, and programs to meet employees’ needs.

We are helping our client to hire a Research Consultant who will be responsible for leading research planning and execution efforts focused on HR portal content and websites. This includes research consultation, recruiting, project management, execution, analysis and reporting on website projects such as benefits, career and development, leadership, and policies.

This usability consultant will assist the team with developing research strategies and conducting research studies including interviews, focus groups, usability testing, expert reviews, 1:1 interviews, and surveys as needed.  A solid understanding of user centered design, a variety of research methods, and ability to communicate results effectively are important success criteria for this role. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·      Client consulting on research needs, solutions, and planning. Point person for the research team on the core Human Resources portal projects, including sharing work in progress across teams and ensuring that expectations are met.
·      Management, development, and execution of research studies including interviews/focus groups and other qualitative studies and/or surveys, polls and other types of quantitative studies.
·      Graphing, charting, layout, and content of research results including modular reports for targeted audiences such as business groups, geographic markets, business owners, etc.
·      Research recruiting, scheduling, moderation, and compiling of results based on topic or theme based on team’s need and timeframe.

NEW JOB: Marketing Consultant, 10+ months project, Downtown SF

a Sr. Marketing Consultant for a 10+ months contract position in Downtown SF! 

Pay rate: min. $60 to $65 an hour, D.O.E.

We are looking to hire a Marketing Program/Project Manager who will support a variety of financial guidance and financial product marketing and awareness programs by partnering across our client’s organization that includes HR, and internal communications. 

You will be responsible for: 

•Developing a current state analysis of all our client’s financial products and the employees’ benefit (discount, service model, etc.).

 •Developing a 2013 and 2014 marketing calendar for all product communications to employees. Partnering effectively with all product groups to understand their business goals, priorities, pain points and opportunities with team members.  

•Helping to develop a new internal financial products/discounts website for team members by representing the business goals and needs with our client's Enterprise Team Member Portal team. You will need to partner closely with all product groups, HR, Portal team and Internal Communications. 

•Publishing content on Sharepoint sites 

•Supporting new educational and team member engagement programs and initiatives by managing day-to-day details with the project team, including but not limited to: managing internal reviews and approvals with SMEs, legal, HR and other stakeholder groups. Documenting communication plans and strategies to support the launch of new programs. 

•Analyzing data from team member research initiatives that may help inform future strategies. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Minimum of seven years’ experience managing marketing programs from inception through launch 
•Strong communication (written and verbal), organization, and cross-functional leadership skills 
•Exceptional partnering and collaboration skills; familiar with working with varying lines of businesses/departments, with varying processes and varying methods of working together to achieve results 
•Proven online and offline effective communications management and metrics expertise; from strategic ideation to success reporting 
•Strategic leadership 
•Proven experience publishing content to Sharepoint websites 
•Basic knowledge of HTML 
•Strong project management skills, including a keen eye for details 
•Flexible; can easily adjust style and approach by audience type and work independently

7+ months contract position in Downtown SF - Sr. Writer with Healthcare Benefits experience

New position: Sr. Writer with Healthcare Benefits experience, Downtown SF


The Senior Healthcare Writer is a full-time contract position (40 hours per week) starting in June 2013 with an internal marketing team within HR of a large financial institution in downtown San Francisco for a duration of 7 months minimum with a strong possibility of extension. 
Responsibilities include planning, editing, and writing of documents and communications related to healthcare and health and wellness. These materials include Plan Descriptions, Changes and Modifications, as well as related communications such as announcements and introductory letters. The person in this position will not only manage the writing and editing of these highly complex communications, but will also write materials that help communicate benefits- and policy-related details to a broader employee audience.
You will work closely with clients and business partners, specifically the subject matter experts from the Benefits group (and related groups), to gather the necessary information for the policy communications, to manage the editorial and review process, and to gain final approval of all materials. In some cases, communications will be developed on the basis of materials provided by such government agencies as the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as state and local governments, so familiarity with these agencies’ regulatory requirements is highly desirable but not mandatory.
The Writer’s tangible goals and outputs:
·       Draw upon extensive benefits-related expertise to manage the process for updating plan descriptions
·       Manage and resolve competing and multi-tiered editorial feedback with timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy
·       Effectively translate policy specifics into coherent, meaningful team member communications
·       Manage all interactions with our policy-focused clients and legal-focused clients and work on a primarily independent basis to ensure a productive and positive client relationship with the marketing team
·       Review, resolve, and/or escalate based on feedback and issues
·       Provide regular project updates to management
Day to day, the Writer will:
·       Develop and revise print and online content based on project goals
·       Work with clients to ensure that all appropriate subject matter experts have reviewed and signed off on all drafts of the content
·       Work with the Editor to ensure that all content adheres to established standards
·       Work with Design and Production teams to manage execution and completion of project deliverables
·       Engage in necessary follow-up and post-project review
·       Contribute to ongoing development of standards
·       Use established project monitoring tools
The Ideal Writer candidate will have:
·       A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (6+ years of experience in communications or writing field)
·       Extensive experience with corporate employee benefits communications, particularly with respect to all types ofcurrently-offered benefit plans
·       Extraordinary attention to detail
·       Exceptional task management skills
·       Advanced knowledge of required software: Microsoft Word, Excel but also PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
·       Proven ability to produce exceptional content and copy for both online and print communications
·       Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
·       Outstanding organizational and project-management skills
·       Proven experience working on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
