Marketing Project Coordinator/Manager - 5 to 6 months contract position

Our client, a Fortune 100 Company, is one of the largest food and drug retailers in North America with 1,600+ stores.  We are hiring a Temporary Project Manager in their Shopper Marketing division.
This position is located in Pleasanton, California and is effective from 11/01/2012-4/19/2013. 
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
            Develop, communicate and execute shopper engaging, cost effective, ROI positive strategies and promotions to build and defend our market share against competitive activity. These strategies are developed with the analysis of Syndicated Data, Internal Sales and Proprietary Market & Consumer Insights Data, including internal and external real estate data.
            Develop and execute Regional Specific Marketing Programs. Analyze multiple internal and external data sources to develop these plans. Then continue to use these multifaceted data sets in the on-going evaluation and adjustment of the plans.
            Leverage past experiences (CPG, retail, agency, etc) to proactively self-educate around retail and marketing industry trends / best practices to identify opportunities that are consistent with, and reinforce, our client’s brand and have strong market potential.
            Both actively participate in and lead a team in being the last line of defense for flawless execution, working with the Business Units, Media, Creative and Production to insure seamless integration and execution across all mediums and communication points.
            Development of communication for advertising plans, programs and promotions to ensure flawless execution at retail level.
            Special Projects as assigned
Qualifications:
            Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
            2 - 3 years Retail Advertising and Marketing experience.
            - 2 + years retail or Regional/Division Support experience preferred.
            Management experience preferred.
            1-2 years of analytical experience preferred.
            Strong project management experience.
            Excellent Interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
            Excellent communication skills that can be effectively articulated in both written and oral forms.
            Analytically orientated creative problem solver who can incorporate new learning into existing plans and act decisively.
            Self-motivated, high energy individual that can function in a demanding, performance-driven environment.
            PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
            Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle multiple deadlines in a fast past work environment.
            Passion for innovative marketing and new ideas.
            Experience with financial, marketing, and real estate analytics, reports and terminology.
            Creative, strategic thinker who is intellectually curious and has a demonstrated interest in learning.
