Senior
Account Executive (SAE)
Senior Account Executives
have a minimum of five years of PR experience and play a key role in driving
and overseeing the success of the public relations agency/client
relationship. SAEs report to President, CEO and ASs and work directly
with account executives and other account staff to ensure that client campaigns
are implemented based on the individual client’s marketing foundation; are
running smoothly and to the client’s satisfaction; and maintain all agency
business, quality and budget standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as the primary and regular client-designated
contact (clients utilize this individual in a full consultative capacity).
- Leading and attending all client meetings (solo, as
appropriate).
- Confidently presenting strategies and new ideas to
clients and account teams.
- Commanding presentation skills.
- Proficient multi-tasker with the inherent ability to
prioritize deadlines.
- Overseeing and trafficking of all account-related
activity (including supervision of junior staff, as appropriate).
- Monitoring current events and identifying proactive
public relations opportunities;
- Drafting client action plans.
- Overseeing all client reporting and ensuring accuracy;
- Meeting regularly with account teams.
- Drafting written materials with minimal edits from
supervisors and clients.
- Reviewing and ensuring the quality of all
communications materials, including press releases, bylined articles,
written correspondence, etc.
- Tracking client hours and ensuring that client teams
are functioning profitably and effectively.
- Communicating client concerns and issues to agency
management.
- Attends appropriate new business presentations and
assists in developing proposals and other presentation materials.
- Participates on one or more internal or business
development-focused committees.
